Young Adults
Growing up can be difficult and confusing. Young people can be confused about identity and direction. They may feel inadequate, or uncertain as to how to cope with the competition that exists for education and employment opportunities. They may have relationship questions, fears of commitment or worries about future decisions.
As parents it is oftentimes difficult to guide our children who may be floundering. It can be painful and even frustrating to see them feel stuck and unable to move forward with a plan.
It may be that low self esteem is getting in the way. Diane's additional training in this area as well as, normalizing the experience and giving the young person the confidence to express their feelings in constructive ways are some of the ways to help someone feel more able to deal with directional confusion.
It may be that training in dispute resolution is needed, particularly relevant in this age where divorce is so prevalent. This improved ability improves family, personal and work relationships a significant factor in finding life contentment.
Finding mentors, improving interviewing skills and having the confidence to think outside the box are all skills required at this stage in life. Diane believes that her work is a combination of encouraging self reflection, skill building and exploring realistic options. The process includes being able to blend life wisdom, practical advice and personal coaching.
Additionally, Diane Moody works with a variety of other professionals. Sometimes psychological testing is required to help more objectively evaluate aptitudes and interests, as well as provide guidance about post-secondary education. Diane makes appropriate referrals that include co-ordination and follow up to make sure that the process has been meaningful.
With 35 years of practical experience, having raised her own children and having helped hundreds of youth mature, Diane is a positive person for young people to help find their way.
