Diane Moody, M.S.W.
Diane Moody has worked for over 37 years to improve the emotional and family life of young people and adults.
She has a master's degree in social work and wide additional training to enhance many years of richly varied experience. Diane may be found playing on the floor with young children struggling with school or family problems or, just as comfortably, counselling senior executives on personal, marital or parenting concerns.
She provides coaching to parents and step-parents who are in doubt about their family strategies. She helps children, adolescents and young adults with the complexities of growing up and finding their way. Diane has had extensive experience in helping parents to minimize harm to their children during the divorce process and helps their children express their feelings and cope with the changes they are facing.
Diane’s therapeutic focus is existential, goal-oriented and solution-focused. Her additional training in addressing anxiety and self-esteem challenges add to her ability to provide effective services. Parents can feel relief in consulting a professional about their children. Sometimes discussing the challenges, developing new ideas and having a sympathetic non-judgmental discussion – can make a difference to the family.
Diane's expertise includes helping with:
- Identity, directional and life dilemmas
- Children/families coping with divorce
